Contest

The contest for the Mechanic of the Year Award has been organized since 2002. Its founder and organizer is Fota S.A. Company. The contest is nationwide and all mechanics may start irrespective of the organizational form, ownership or location of their garage. The number of mechanics from one garage that may participate in the contest is not limited. The contest is supervised by a jury.

Since its commencement more than 5000 mechanics from all over the country have started in the contest. Each edition of the contest attracts higher numbers of mechanics and the prizes increase, too. The winner of the last edition of the Mechanic of the Year contest in 2005 won the prizes valued at PLN 85 thousand, whereas all the prizes were worth PLN 300 thousand.

Winning the contest brings prestige and promotion. In this contest there are no losers and gains are numerous: participation in the contest is the test of your competence and a chance to raise your skills. A measurable, long-term effect of winning the Mechanic of the Year Award is the increased popularity of the garage among customers, who are more willing to visit the honoured mechanic.
